Author’s Note: What
you will be looking for in this piece is what the author was trying to tell the
reader, like what is the whole point of this book.
An eating disorder is a horrible thing, people thinking they
are “Perfect” or not skinny enough. I believe that the author of the book
called “Perfect” is trying to
interpret the meaning of be who you are and don’t try to change the way you
look, or you will be in trouble. I have
learned from this book, how? Well I was always thinking of trying it, and I thought
maybe it would change me, but I learned from gym class I learned what I could
look like, then I read the book and I was
proud that I wasn't about to start with a bad habit.
Some would say being perfect will get you popularity, or
maybe boyfriends, well being perfect doesn't mean anything, you should be happy
with who you are with at that moment. The
author made the main character, Isabelle, was bulimic she stood strong trying
to keep her issue and got rid of it by finding a new way to change her weight
which is awesome for her. Even thought she is a character in a book, it is
always the best feeling to stop a habit that you have had for quite some time.
When she changed her thoughts I had changed mine, and mine
was not to hurt my body. There is about everyone that would change their body
just to get was they think they need, but why? No matter who you are God
created someone specially for you. Just because
you aren't the way you want to be doesn't mean harm yourself.
Isabelle didn't think it was harming her, but she finally
learned that things weren't the same about her, she was tired, dizzy, and
hungry. I know many people that have
this disorder and I have known then before they have started, there is a big
difference, it’s scary to see someone you know slowly changing in front of you;
not in the good way.
Some people can’t just take the way they are, it’s a sad
thing to see people anorexic or just doing harsh things to themselves. The author
had a great story, and had an awesome plot. This story is on having a bad habit,
and I learned that it seems to be a bad habit to get into, but just the thought of trying to stop,
it’s just like trying to ignore an itch that you have. We are not perfect, we are different and that’s
what we should stay as, just different.
