I Broken Off Thinking You'd Be Crying

Author’s Note: This Point of view essay / short story is the point of view of the guy from the song Want you back by Char Lloyd.

A energetic song named “Want you back is a song written by Char Lloyd,” It is about a young girl who had the best time ever with her boyfriend but she broke up with him because she wanted a break.  However, now she is seeing how much fun he is having with another girl and she is regretting breaking up with him. As she says this “I broken off thinking you’d be crying” thinking that he would be running back to her after he sees what he will be missing.

If you were in the guys point of view what would you say or do to Char Lloyd. This upbeat song must have a story behind it, and I will get to the bottom of this situation. Why would she be breaking up with him and then wanting him back? Sounds very suspicious, you are just giving mixed signals. I would know because I have been in the guys position before.

Guy talking :”Considering that you left me is not my fault! You let me go so now that just tells me that you are over and done with me, no reason for trying to come back to you.”

Char talking: “But I said I was sorry. Why can’t you just give me another chance? I will promise that I will change just for you and make you happy, I won’t hurt you.”

Guy talking: “Well I am sorry. Time to move on and not always do you have to give a second chance to the ones that hurt us. I am staying out of your drama hole. I don’t need you anymore, bossing me around and telling me who to hang out with. This is my turn to show myself that I am not going to be dragged back by you.”

Char talking: “Please. I made a big mistake, can’t you just take me back like this never happened. Like I never broke up with you?”

Guy talking: “No. We are done, just stop trying. I am not going to be guilty for something you did, I don’t feel bad for you. Just please stop. You can live without me, go talk to your “guy friends” you seem to spend a lot of time with them.”

Char talking: “Well all I’m saying is ha you’re going to miss all this! ughh! Time to write a song!”

Take it Back

Author’s Note: This Point of view essay / short story is the point of view of the guy from the song Want you back by Char Lloyd.

Why would she be breaking up with him and then wanting him back? Sounds very suspicious, you are just giving mixed signals. I would know because I have been in the guys position before. It is a hard dissociation to make in what position hat these two young people are in. What would you say if you were the guy, or the girl? I would just tell her that you said what you meant and no need to turn back.

Comparing a book to a movie

Author's Note: This essay is about comparing and contrasting on a book named Chains  and the movie called The Patriot .

The deaths were devastating; quick; gory and heart breaking. The hard times of this event was miserable. In the movie The Patriot  Directed by: Roland Emmerich, a various amount of people were killed by the British (Red coats). As this time was going on two young ladies are being sold to a cruel family. Losing your family is hard, you can't bear to see them leave you or be taken away from you.

The Patriot  is a very upsetting time, as the revolutionary war is happening at this moment in time, a happy family with a father of seven children. Benjamin (father) ; Gabriel (oldest son); Thomas (second oldest son), these three boys are very important in this movie for the reason that the boys are the main characters also important to the Revolutionary War. As for one by one of these boys were taken away from the world and each other.

At that period of time the rebels and the red coats are at battle two young slave  girls just lost their aunt who was the only one who could set them free. The book called, Chains written by: Laurie H. Anderson. This adventurous book is about a older sister named Isabel and her younger sister Ruth. As for these two girls that have been sold of to some bratty white people, they to are in the middle of the Revolutionary War. Through all of this the two insuperable sister have been sent to different places. It makes you sick inside for losing your family, not being able to say in touch for a long time.

These to point of views are different because one side is of two young slaves, the other half is of a point of view of the war and the “rebels”. As both of these time periods are going on both are trying to fight for freedom, as for Isabel and her sister they are sent to be slaves even though they are supposed to be free right at that moment their aunt died. As in The Patriot, multiple slaves are in the movie freely working  to save other slaves from slavery.  All of this is because of the Revolutionary War, all of this revolves around the war.

As these times pass in both book and movie,  there are people dying, crying.  The Patriot and the book Chains have depressing moments,  they also made good times in both, as for winning the battle and for seeing your mom after 5 years into her death. No one could hand really what was going on, but everything turned to be the way of close to a happy ending.

Only To Stop the Hunger

Author’s Note: This piece is about the theme of family found in the book Hunger Games.  Look for the girl that is fighting for her district, her family and her life.

Just see that girl, scared to death in the middle of a battle field running for her life;  alone in a dark forest where many crazed animals and humans that sneak up behind you. As in the book, Hunger Games, by Suzanne Collins, in the main character’s heart, she is thinking about back home, and her folks, and of how she volunteered for her sister and her mother. Readers will learn that anyone would do some amazingly dangerous things just for their family.

In the area that Katniss likes in at this moment is very poor; after her father passed away the Everdeen family started to lose a lot of their money, the family's' house just was becoming more run down. The house it is very calm with only her mother and her little sister Primrose. Katniss’s life is protecting and providing for her family,  sneaking out into the woods just for a kill to eat.

Getting ready to pick for the Hunger Games. First girl picked is Primrose Everdeen, the younger sister of the girl who was the first ever to volunteer, now Katniss is in the spotlight, that feels like a caged like an animal, scared as a deer in headlights, her heart racing like a horse, with no way of turning back, no way of walking out of this. As she is getting ready for the battle, the countdown begins, 5 – 4 – 3 – 2 – 1 they’re off. Everyone in this battle never knew which way to choose. Any direction you choose can just be a death sentence for you.

All this pain mad Katniss think that sticking up for your family shows her that doing anything for your family can make a big change in her life. As you see she is putting her life in risk to save her relatives from starvation. Everything had changed after the games had ended, most family’s were heartbroken but only two family’s remain pleased. These times are very heartbreaking however, all of these people tried to survive for their families health.
