What's Love Got to Do With It?

Author’s Note: The amazing point of view of Lena from the book called A Unique Kind of Love. Talking about the main character Lena love for Liam, and wondering about him and her. Would it last? Does he feel the same way? What will he say if Lena told him?

Love is a powerful word, this “thing” may not seem all the possible to some but when you find the right person the heart feels the need to say the three magic words. It’s just this one girl new girl who sticks out more than others, now falling for the known loser in the school. What would you do if you became friends with him, or maybe just fall in love, or is he just another heart breaker?

No one is the same, but you and your friends find a way to be the same.  Similarities are sometimes noticeable, but in Lena’s situation these similarities are hidden between her and Liam, That thing is called love. The most meaningful word and also misused and misunderstood.

Liam has a point of view in this story, were he thinks the same way but doesn’t say a thing to her, because he is “mute” . He has no family left other than one cousin. Lena is the only one that is keeping him alive. After prom and his grandmothers death, he needed some alone time so he left Lena, alone, right after she told him see loved him. He told her he loved everything about her and said that he didn’t love her.

The confusion Lena felt was unbearable. She hasn’t heard from him in over a week. He promised his grandma that he would tell her that he loved her, and he did; so did Lena after the over herd Liam and his grandmother talking. That’s why she is so confused. She knew what she heard. Why would he lie to his grandma? Is all she could think about and why was he avoiding her?

Most of the time when you love someone you would like to hang out with them, be there for them. But when it’s just one person that wants to be hanging out with you, then it’s just a heart breaking feeling.  Heart break is a big topic in the story to, after Lena’s dad died she remember what he said to her about it, millions of arrows being pierced threw your heart, the burning sensation that you get in your stomach, not knowing if you should cry or scream or even run away.
